Privacy Policy

Support

1. Your local vault

Passwords, account details, card details, notes, images, attached documents and app settings are stored locally on your device. PassWords does not operate a cloud vault, upload these entries to the developer’s servers or sell them. Setting up a master password creates a local app profile, not an online account.

The developer does not have remote access to your vault and cannot reset your master password or recover your entries. Keep independent backups and protect your device.

2. Device permissions and security

The app may request access to the camera for QR scanning or photos, selected images and documents for attachments or imports, notifications for reminders, and device biometrics for optional unlocking. Access depends on your platform, settings and the feature you use. You can manage permissions in the device’s system settings.

Biometric verification is performed by the operating system; the app receives an authentication result, not your fingerprint or face template. Certain authentication settings and secrets are kept using iOS Keychain or Android’s protected credential storage. These measures do not replace a secure device passcode and regular backups.

3. Backups, exports and sharing

Backup archives, exports, PDFs and shared attachments are created at your request or according to the automatic backup settings you enable. You choose whether to save or send them outside the app, including to cloud storage, email or another application. The developer does not receive these files unless you separately send them.

External services process files under their own policies. You control the retention and deletion of exported copies. Deleting app data does not delete archives, exported documents or copies already shared elsewhere. Keep backup passwords separately and check that your backups can be restored.

4. Store purchases

Optional Pro purchases and purchase restoration use Google Play or Apple’s App Store. The store processes payment details and transaction information under its own privacy policy. PassWords uses product information and purchase or entitlement information to enable paid features and may store purchase information locally.

The developer does not receive your full payment card details through the app. Store downloads, billing and related platform services may use the internet even though the vault itself works offline.

5. Advertising and analytics

The current app does not include advertising or a developer-operated behavioral analytics service. We do not use the contents of your vault for advertising, profiling or training AI models. Device and app information used for local functions is not sent to a PassWords analytics server.

6. Website and support email

This website does not set analytics or advertising cookies and does not load third-party tracking scripts. The hosting server processes technical connection information, such as an IP address and requested page, to deliver the website and maintain its security. Technical errors may be recorded under the hosting server’s operational logging policy.

If you email support, the developer receives your email address, message and any information you choose to include. This information is used to answer your request and investigate the issue. Do not send passwords, sensitive vault contents or backup archives. Email providers process messages under their own policies.

7. Retention and deletion

Local vault data remains on your device until you delete it using the app’s data-deletion function, clear app storage or uninstall the app, subject to the behavior of your operating system. Backups and exported copies remain wherever you saved or shared them until you remove them separately.

Support correspondence is retained for handling the inquiry and necessary follow-up, or longer where a legal obligation requires it. You may request deletion of support correspondence by emailing pass.app.words@gmail.com. We will explain any information that must be retained and the reason. There is no online PassWords account or server-side vault to delete.

8. Your choices and rights

You control the data you enter, the permissions you enable and the copies you export. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict the use of personal information held by the developer, and to complain to a competent data protection authority.

For requests about support correspondence or other personal information the developer actually holds, contact pass.app.words@gmail.com. We cannot access, alter or erase your local vault remotely.

9. Children

PassWords is a general-purpose utility and is not designed to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent personal information to support, contact the developer so that the message can be reviewed and deleted where appropriate.

10. Changes and contact

This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the app or its data practices. The revision date appears on this page. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law or store policies.
