Useful details to include
- Your device model and Android or iOS version.
- The PassWords version shown in Settings → About.
- What happened and the steps that led to it. Remove private information from screenshots.
Delete your data
In PassWords, open Settings and choose “Delete all application data”, then confirm. This removes the app’s local vault and settings. There is no online PassWords account to delete. Separately delete any backup archives, exported files or shared copies you have saved outside the app. Uninstalling the app does not remove those external copies.
Keep a separate backup
Use the backup options in Settings to create an archive, then save a copy outside your phone. Check that you know the password for the archive. Files you export are under your control and are not stored by the developer.
Forgotten master password
The developer cannot reset your master password or recover the contents of your vault. Before deleting anything, check whether previously enabled biometric unlock still works and whether you have a usable backup. Resetting the app deletes local data.
